Great Ocean Road Explorer With Lunch

Great Ocean Road

Join us today on a day tour as we travel over the West Gate Bridge and enjoy impressive panoramas of Melbourne’s skyline and Port Phillip Bay then continue on to Geelong, Victoria’s largest provincial city. Skirt Corio Bay and then to Torquay, start of the 300km Great Ocean Road – one of the world’s most spectacular coastlines. We’ll make a stop where you can enjoy morning tea and a cake…compliments of Great Sights!

Bells Beach & Surf Coast

Coastal cliffs and long golden surf beaches are a major attraction along the Great Ocean Road – world class surf championships at Bells Beach, the beautiful resort of Lorne and picturesque Apollo Bay draw many visitors during the holiday season. A healthy lunch and refreshing cold drink in a trendy beachside cafe will surely fill your hunger at Apollo Bay.  Take advantage of free internet while you’re there!

Rainforests

Travel through the Otway National Park, a region of unspoilt rainforest with tree ferns and tall eucalypts.

Port Campbell National Park with the Twelve Apostles

We’ll walk down Gibsons Steps to the beach and get a very different view from the water’s edge, looking up at the dramatic limestone cliffs and spectacular rock stacks!  Marvel at the stark stone pillars of the Twelve Apostles, Razorback, Island Arch and other twisted “stacks”. Shipwrecks are a tragic part of this rugged coast, the most notable being the “Loch Ard”. You will be able to descend into Loch Ard Gorge and have time to experience the magic of the Shipwreck Coast. The dramatic scenery provides tremendous scope for photography. We’ll make a direct early return to Melbourne and screen an Australian movie.

This tour departs from Melbourne Day Tour Centre, Federation Square East, corner Flinders & Russell Streets, Melbourne or your CBD hotel. In some instances, we may need to pick up from a nearby hotel if we cannot pick up directly from your accommodation due to restrictions beyond our control.
